The Chris Reeve Carbon Fiber Sebenza is a standard Sebenza 31 with a side of weave carbon fiber handle on the front - with total integral lock titanium on the locking side. This reduces the weight significantly, without compromising on the strength. The Carbon Fiber Sebenza is bank vault solid still only weighs in at 2.3 oz. Information technology is EDC perfection!
This is a knife that actually needs to exist held to be appreciated. It is lighter in the hand - yet the carbon cobweb is incredibly rigid and true. Chris Reeve Knives fully machines and laps the textured carbon fiber scales to make sure the tolerances are up to their high standards and provides an excellent grip. The framelock construction is rigid and the life of the titanium interface is enhanced thanks to the ceramic ball insert. This ball is inserted on the lockbar where the titanium meets the bract tang. The titanium pocket clip is blasted and provides simply the right amount of tension to concord the knife in place.
The Carbon Fiber Sebenza utilizes an extremely loftier-quality stainless CPM S45VN steel, a particle metallurgy alloy with balanced qualities in toughness, edge retention, and stainless capabilities. The stonewashed CPM S45VN blade has a shallow hollow grind giving the blade a very dainty platform for a razor-abrupt edge. The American-made steel is heat-treated to 60-62 on the Rockwell hardness calibration (RC) providing the ultimate in edge retention. File work on the thumb rest of the blade spine gives you added forward traction and command.

As a Brit living in Poland I was unable to fined this pocketknife her, then I orded from KnifeArt. The service was excellent, the Chris Reeve Small Carbon Fiber Sebenza 21 is such a great knife, so so happy with information technology.
The only down side was the $150 dollar import dutie I had to pay when it got her.

This was my first expensive pocketknife purchase and I decided to become all out and become the carbon fiber modest. Ive carried it daily for the past two weeks and I wont get some other day without it. Carbon fiber gives it a lightweight feel without taking away from the solidness of the pocketknife. Beingness a first time Sebenza owner I didnt know what to wait right out of the box only forewarning to everyone that purchases a sebenza for the kickoff fourth dimension... practise not expect perfection right out of the box. The blade was a bit difficult to go out of the indent and slide all the way into position for the offset xxx or so opens. After my first pocketknife cleaning I think I figured out what is happening, the blade is rock washed which affects the motion of the blade over the titanium locking mechanism. Over a menstruation of fourth dimension the blade will polish and become buttery smooth, so dont panic.
KnifeArts shipping needless to say is stellar. I havent seen 1 person complain about the customer service and its for a good reason. I never thought I would say this but I will probably be back for a carbon fiber 21 large insigno.

The Carbon Fiber Sebenza is a beautiful knife, with a very distinct look when compared to a traditional knife. It arrived in a dainty protective box, with a microfiber cloth, some grease, a hex fundamental, and some stickers. The blade is too _very_ sharp, and virtually cut nicked my fingers a couple of times when opening/closing the blade.
There was an upshot that a friend pointed out: the blade was slightly off alignment such that when you lot airtight it, the blade would scrape alongside the carbon cobweb side. In an attempt to figure out the crusade, nosotros noticed the pivot screw was visibly loose. Tightening it about i/4 turn was plenty to fix the scraping, but the bract then became very hard to open. I just sent the pocketknife back to KnifeArt, and they are going to gear up the problem.
Overall, this is an excellent pocketknife and I can't await to become it dorsum. Besides, KnifeArt's customer service is corking too, with quick responses to inquiries. -- William

I bought a small Sebenza 21 a while back and liked it then much I wanted a andquot;spare.andquot; So I bought the same knife with a carbon-cobweb slab. I own a number of personal items made from CF, and I've learned the quality varies considerably. But the carbon-fiber on this knife is the best I've e'er seen. Substantial, perfectly machined with a smooth matte finish and the andquot;CRandquot; logo, this is a perfect upgrade to a perfect EDC. It really makes an already cracking pocket knife something special.
And, as always, slap-up CS from KnifeArt. Simple ordering and amazingly fast delivery through USPS. For CRK aficionados, this is the go-to on-line source.

This is my first CRK. The fit and finish is equally all say - perfect. Obviously it is super sharp and buttery shine. It is everything I'd hoped for. I love the blade finish. The carbon fiber handle is very well washed; fits great, looks groovy, and makes for a light knife. The small Sebenze makes for a great pocketknife to carry - small, calorie-free, thin. Disappears in the pocket. KnifeArt service is above everyone'south I've seen. Shipping is fast, well packed to ensure not even a minor marker on the CRK box, and personal interaction.
